LIMS Process Management Print E-mail
The main objectives of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) are the acquisition and management of analytic information collected in different Laboratory Areas. LIMS  ensures accuracy, reliability and traceability in the whole analytic process. Generally, LIMS is able to control the management of Organizations and Processes within the Laboratory environment, such as:
  • Clients, suppliers and instruments.
  • Contracts, purchases and stock control.
  • Definition of the Laboratory Work Plan. Analytic Profiles.
  • Automatic Register Process and Sample Identification.
  • Work sheets, work flows and sample series generation for  theirs Instrumental Analysis. 
  • Traceability of  the information, the operators, the samples and the analytic results.
  • Generation of Official Bulletin of analysis and Statistical Reports. 
  • Flexibility and speed of access to the data entered (inputs) and consult screens in the Windows environment.
  • Security in the generation of information. Definition of the profiles which have information access. Access control. 
  • Calibration Planning and Instrument Support. Validation Procedures and the  Authorization of Results .
  • Laboratory Information Management Systems are tools which allow Laboratory Accreditation according to International Quality Standards.
